| Description | Horse hair pottery is a great gift idea for the horse person or lover of unique art work. The black lines are created using real horse hair from the mane or tail of a horse. When applied to the hot ceramic piece (~1200 degrees) the hair ignites and takes on a life of its own creating unique "squiggly" lines. We have several pre-made vases in our online store hosted by Artfire or if you see a shape that you like on our website we can create a custom piece for you. We can also use the hair from your favorite horse as well. This would make a great keepsake to remember them by.
